One of the key features of the PGD S-LW-ICW plate is its ICW (In conjunction with) designation. This means that it is essential to wear NIJ Level 3A soft armor underneath to achieve full NIJ Level III+ protection. When used with soft armor, the plate effectively blocks threats such as 7.62×51 NATO M80 rounds, 7.62×39 MSC rounds from AK-47s, and 5.56×45 M193 rounds.
